We are so excited for the final Reign “In Gym” Throwdown at our current facility before our move and we can’t wait to see everyone compete & have fun.

✅ The first heat for this event will start at 8am but the gym will be open for you to warm-up and start getting ready at 7:15am.

✅ Each event will be exactly 20 minutes apart giving your team anywhere from 5-8 minute breaks between each event. Please game plan prior to this event as the time between may not be enough.

✅ Heats will be every 20 minutes.

✅ Warm-ups will be on your own and up to each team so please plan accordingly.

 

Judges

Our judges will be made up of coaches and Reign Fam VOLUNTEERS! 

They will briefed on the events, movement standards, and on how to judge each team. Please remember that they are volunteering their time for our Reign Fitness community and are here to keep things fair.

If they tell you no rep, don’t get upset just keep going and work on improving the movement.

If they continue to no rep you and not explaining why, which they will, just ask them why you’re getting no repped.

 

The Events | Scaled

Event 1 | Boom Shake Shake

Beforehand, the team decides which athletes wants to complete which lift. Each athlete completes one Section, not all three .

At the call of 3-2-1 Go, the first athlete is up – and onto the Max Wall Balls.
This athlete has 4:00 to complete as many wall balls as possible.  Wall ball standards are…

✅ Hip must go below knees at the bottom of the movement.

✅ Wall ball must hit the middle of the target (Men 10 feet, Women 9 feet) with the designated weight ball. (Men 20lbs/Women 14lbs)

Their total reps will count towards their team total.

At the 4:00 mark on the clock, we transition to the second athlete, who will be completing 21-15-9 workout with Squats and H/R Pushups followed by max sit-ups.

✅ Hips must go below knees on the squat and finish all the way through at the top.

✅ Chest must be all the way down on the Hand Release Pushup while the hands completely come off the ground.

✅ Complete 21 squat and pushups, 15 squats and pushups, and then 9 squats and pushups before moving onto the max sit-ups.

 

Same system applies here… 4:00 to complete the 21-15-9 workout and max sit-ups. Your max sit-ups total will go towards your team score.

Finally, at the 8:00 on the clock, we start our final window for the AMRAP workout in which the athlete will complete 10 KBSDHP and 10 Box Jumps. Only the total number of box jumps will count towards the score.

✅ KB SDHP standards, kettlebell must touch the ground and handle must reach the collar bone with hips finished all the way through.

✅ Kb weights will be 45/25 and the box height will be 24″/20″. (Step Ups are allowed)

Total reps of scored exercises from all three workouts is your team score for Event 1.

 

Event 2 | Megan’s Dirty Thirty

At 3-2-1 Go, the first athlete in each team will start on the rower and complete 30 calories. Once they finish and receive the confirmation from judge, the Athlete 2 can start their 30 calorie row and again when they finish and receive confirmation, the Final Athlete can start their 30 calories.

After the team completes their 90 calories they will move onto the DB Thruster section where athlete 1 (who started first on the rower) will complete their 10 reps of dumbbell thrusters .

Once athlete 1 finishes, athlete 2 can complete their 10 reps, and so on.

 

Each team will be provided with the dumbbells necessary for the workout. Please let your judge know if you have men and women on your team and need additional dumbbells.

After all athletes complete the 10 thruster reps, you will move onto the synchronized burpee section. All burpees must be the same level. (If you scale, everyone must scale).

✅ All three athletes must be down at the same time and standing up with hips through at the same time.

 

Event 3 | Stronger Together

 Before the workout begins, teams will decide the order of rotation (Athlete #1, #2, and #3). Inside this whole workout, one athlete is working while the other two are resting.

3-2-1 Go the workout starts with 75 synchronized squats. One person will start with the dynaball and you can pass around however you want or have that one athlete hold the entire time.

Station #1 – Assault Bike 
Nothing too “science-y” here, but do know that each team will have a single bike.

Station #2 – D Ball Work 
Athlete #1 will complete D Ball Thrusters.
Athlete #2 will complete D Ball OH Alternating Lunges. Each leg counts as 12 1 rep
Athlete #3 will complete D Ball Front Squats

Station #3 – KB Work 
Athlete #1 will complete Goblet Squats.
Athlete #2 will complete kb dl high pulls.
Athlete #3 will complete kb deadlifts.

Once you complete all stations you will go back to Station #1 and continue through the sequence as you did before until the 15 minute time limit.

Every rep counts and your total reps will be your score!

 

The Events | Performance

Event 1 | Boom Shake Shake

Event 1 Performance

 

Beforehand, the team decides which athletes wants to complete which lift. Each athlete completes one movement, not all three.

At the call of 3-2-1 Go, the first athlete is up – and onto the Deadlift.
This athlete has 4:00 to find their best heavy lift, and can take as many attempts as they would like to in the 4:00 window. Their best lift will count towards the team total.

At the 4:00 mark on the clock, we transition to the second athlete, who will be completing the 1 RM Back Squat.  Same system applies here… 4:00 to find their best Squat for the day, taking as many attempts as they would like.

Finally, at the 8:00 on the clock, we start our final window for the Clean athlete. This can be a power or squat clean. Same applies here… 4:00 to find their best lift inside the window.

Teammates are allowed to help change weights for teammates, and clips must be on every single attempt! Weights will be evenly distributed to each station.

Sum of the best lifts at all three movements is your team score for workout #1.

 

Event 2 | Megan’s Dirty Thirty

At 3-2-1 Go, the first athlete in each team will start on the rower and complete 30 calories. Once they finish and receive the confirmation from the judge, the next athlete can start their 30 calorie row and when they receive confirmation from the judge the last athlete can start their 30 calories.

After the team completes their 90 calories they will move onto the BB Thruster section where Athlete 1 (who started first on the rower) will complete their 10 reps of Barbell thrusters.

*We will have barbells ready for you but please let your judge know if there are men and women on your team so we can prep the weights.

Once athlete 1 finishes, athlete 2 can complete their 10 reps, and so on.

After all athletes complete the 10 thruster reps, you will move onto the synchronized burpee section.

✅ All three athletes must have their chests down on the ground at the same time and also have their hips through at the same time at the top position.

*in the case that you can not complete the designated barbell weight, you can scale the weight down but will have to take on a 1 minute time penalty which will take place on the athletes round.

Event 3 | Stronger Together

Before the workout begins, teams will decide the order of rotation (Athlete #1, #2, and #3). Inside this whole workout, one athlete is working while the other two are resting.

Athlete #1 will complete Box Jumps
Athlete #2 will complete Dumbbell alternating snatches. Each arm counts as 1 rep and dumbbell must start from the ground position and the hips, knees, and arms must all be locked out at the top.
Athlete #3 will complete Dumbbell Oh Lunges. This will be completed with a single dumbbell in an alternating fashion. You can hold the dumbbell on any arm overhead, you do not have to switch.

*in the case the athlete is no repped, they will be required to complete that leg first in order to continue forward.

ex.

Rep 1 = left leg

Rep 2 = right leg

Rep 3 = no rep

Rep 4 can not be performed on the right leg. You will have to complete the left leg for rep 4 in order to move on.

Station #3 – KB Work 
Athlete #1 will complete Goblet Squats.
Athlete #2 will complete kb dl high pulls.
Athlete #3 will complete kb swings.

Once you complete all stations you will go back to Station #1 and continue through the sequence as you did before until the 15 minute time limit.

Every rep counts and your total reps will be your score!
