Valentine’s Day means Throwdown for Reign Fitness!

Event Details

WHO | 

You (Reign Members) & A Partner

  • This is a 2 person team event.
  • At least 1 person on the team must be a Reign Fitness member.

*If you’re partner is not a member, please email info@bereignfit.com so we can help them get set up and ready to gso for the event.

Heat Times |

The first heat will start at 7am and there will be two teams per time slot. We will have heats every 10 minutes.

Start Times:

7:00 am | Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

7:10 am |  Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

7:20 am |  Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

7:30 am |  Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

7:40 am | Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

7:50 am | Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

8:00 am | Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

8:10 am | Team A (Teammate 1, Teammate 2), Team B (Teammate 1, Teammate 2)

Important: You will be warming up on your own so be sure to show up before your heat with enough time to get properly prepared. Usually teams prefer to have at least 20 minutes time to get warmed up.

There will be space designated for warming up.

How To Sign Up For A Heat: 

  • We will post a time sheet up on the Facebook Members Page please write the heat time you would like along with your team name and partner’s name in the comment section of the post. Your spot is not confirmed until a coach confirms with you. (Please only have 1 team member post) You will also see the Master Schedule update with your names on it.
  • There will also be a sign up sheet at Reign Fitness that we will be updating with the one on the Members Page. Write the heat time you would like along with your team name and partners name. Your time slot is not confirmed until a coach let’s you know. Please only have 1 team member sign up. You will also see the Master Schedule update on the Facebook Members page.

Please keep your eyes peeled for the Master Schedule to go up so that everyone can start signing up for different heat times.

Once all the heat times are filled we will add more as necessary.

 

Valentine’s Day Throwdown Events

Event 1

Event 2

4 Minute time cap

Alternating Dynaball Situps x 20 reps (10 reps each) (20/14/10)

20m run to the rig and back for Wall Balls

Wall Balls 4 rounds x 10 reps (2 rounds each)

*If you finish before the 4 minute time cap, the remaining time will serve as your break. 

***Male/Female teams will get to choose which weight Dynaball they would like to use. In case of a tie breaker, the team who uses the heavier ball will gain the edge. 

 

At the 4 minute mark…

 

Your team will have 2 minutes to complete as many  Wall Balls as possible. Only one partner can work at a time. Both partners must complete at least 1 rep

Alternating Dynaball Partner Situps

  • Athletes butt, back, feet, and the dynaball must be touching the ground at the bottom of each rep.
  • The dynaball must alternate to the other partner after each rep.
    • Your shoes will be close together, and the ball must pass over your shoes.
    • You will be allowed to hook legs for better leverage.
    • You must come up to a full sitting position to complete the rep
  • Scaled Movement
    • The scaled movement will be alternating sit-ups without the dynaball and we will be asking you to come up and touch your shoes.
    • Beginner scaling will be any sit-up variation you’ve been using in classes.
    • Please let your judges know that you will be scaling the movement before you start your heat.
  • Only one partner will be working at a time.

 

Wall Balls 

  • Scaled movement for wall ball will be a thruster with the Dynaball. We are looking for hips to go below hip crease at the bottom of the thruster along with a full extension of the arms at the top. The Dynaball can come out at a 45 degree angle for this scaled variation.
