It’s Wednesday also known as ‘hump day.’ Meaning, friday is just around the corner! You’re either motivated that the week is almost over or exhausted at how crazy the first part of the week has been.
Don’t worry if you don’t feel like hitting the gym tonight. I have a quick 10 minute Circuit Workout for you.
If you have been strength training all week and you are the type that doesn’t really believe or follow rest/recovery days, this may be a good substitute workout for you. Instead of crushing the weights again today, let your body recover with this bodyweight interval circuit. You will still be active, sweating, and getting a workout in. Just not lifting.
If you are using this workout to burn fat and build muscle, there are a couple things to remember. The first thing to remember is challenge yourself with intensity. Get your heart rate up, start sweating, and really challenge yourself with each exercise. The second thing to remember is keep good form. Don’t sacrifice form for intensity. You want to make sure that you can maintain good form first, then push the intensity.
Okay, now let’s get to the workout.
The Happy Hump Day Circuit: Burn Fat and Build Muscle
Directions : Perform each exercise for 45 seconds. Rest 15 seconds between each exercise.
1. Mountain Climbers
6. High Knees (sprinting in place)
8. Jump Squats
9. Tricep Dips (Use a chair, edge of couch, kitchen counter)
Rest for one minute then repeat this workout again to make this a 20 minute workout!
